“LIVE WELL, EAT WELL, GROW”

More than just a garden centre, a place to come together. Dine, drink, shop and immerse yourselves in nature.

In November 2020 Double Two Sugdens were presented with an exciting opportunity to design a new image for staff uniform in readiness for the grand opening of this fantastic new garden centre, set in the heart of the countryside and on the edge of the wonderful town of Ilkley, the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.

Moss & Moor is more of an ‘experience’ than a garden centre, with hidden gems including a beautiful range of gifts, books, arts and crafts. There will also be a superb range of homeware, gardening equipment, a Food Hall, and a large café restaurant, both featuring locally sourced food and drink.

Our Group Designer, Judith Waring, set about creating an interactive range, with clothing that clearly identified the areas in which they would be worn, be that Customer Services, Plant Retail, Restaurant or Warehouse, and the conceptual design boards were enthusiastically received by the client.

Judith commented ‘It was definitely one of the smallest design projects I have ever worked on but probably the one that has given me the most pleasure to do as Mike and Louise’s vision was just so inspiring to work with and I really enjoyed creating a unique look for them’.

We were delighted to be awarded the contract, against strong competition and supplied a host of items including stylish shirts, polo shirts, soft shell gilets, microfleeces, 3 in 1 wet weather jackets, outdoor trousers and beanies, hoodies and barista style aprons, all in easy care fabrics, chosen with wearer comfort in mind and consistently logo’d with the striking Moss & Moor ‘M’ to reinforce the company’s brand identity and all done in time for the required date in February 2021, which was no mean feat in view of Covid restrictions.

Our contacts at Moss & Moor were a delight to work with on the project and we feel immensely proud to be connected with this superb new venture. We are looking forward to growing with them over the coming year, as they open their sizeable dining facility……watch this space!
